"Prison Mother and Baby Units" - a briefing paper by The Howard League which examines the facilities and treatment experienced by mothers and their children when they are sent to prison.
"In the Best Interest of Babies?" - the The Howard League submission to the Prison Service review of Principles, Policies and procedures for Mothers and Babies/children in Prison argues that prison is no place for babies and neither should they be forcibly separated from their mothers. It proposes a new way to deal with women sent to prison who are primary carers for babies.
"Foreign Nationals in the Prison System" - a publication by the Prison Reform Trust, which considers the issues around the rising population of foreign national prisoners and how the Prison Service should best meet their needs.
