“This is Me”: A Child Impact Assessment toolkit
Resources to support children with a mum in the criminal justice system
Following a briefing published by the Prison Reform Trust in 2018, this toolkit lays out how Child Impact Assessments could be used to ensure children’s needs are identified and addressed when a mother is in contact with the criminal justice system.
The development of this toolkit was informed by the views and experiences of children and young people with experience of a mother in the criminal justice system, as well as mothers in prison and those recently released.
