This paper is a project report from researchers who carried out a systematic review of 41 papers and reports to better understand parent and practitioner experiences of support for families with mental health needs and children's social services involvement.

As part of this project, the researchers systematically searched for qualitative research published on this topic, and worked with a group of mothers with lived experience of these issues to help analyse and interpret the results.
