Nicky's experience

Giving back, one class at a time

"I teach hypnobirthing and antenatal classes in South West London and I donate a percentage of the profits from my group classes to Birth Companions. Every mum-to-be who books one of my classes does so in the knowledge that another mum is directly benefiting from her attendance."

Taking part in a challenge event? Running a bake sale? Hosting a baby shower? Looking for a ‘charity of the year’ for your business?

Leave a legacy

By leaving a legacy to us in your will, you can be part of helping to create a better future for the women and babies we support.

If you would like to leave a gift in your will, we recommend you consult a solicitor who can advise on wording to ensure that your wishes are carried out exactly as you want them to be.

You will need the following details:
Birth Companions, Office 118, 372 Old Street, London, EC1V 9LT
Registered charity number 1120934 (England and Wales)

If you don't already have a solicitor, The Law Society can help you find a professional in your area.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a flexible scheme which allows you to give regularly and on a tax-free basis to the charities and good causes of your choice.

Donations are deducted from your pay before tax, so a £10 pledge will only cost £8 for a standard rate tax payer or £6 for a higher rate tax payer.

Payroll Giving (also known as Give As You Earn or workplace giving) is a valuable, long term source of revenue, providing regular income to help charities budget and plan ahead more effectively.

If your company doesn’t have a Pay as You Earn scheme you could encourage them to set one up!

Ranju's experience

A different kind of baby shower

"I wanted to make a difference in the life of other pregnant women and newborn babies who are in less favourable circumstances than me. So I organised an alternative baby shower and asked my guests to contribute towards Birth Companions instead of presents for my baby."
