My role is to oversee the support we provide for women in prisons and in the community, and to support the staff and volunteers who do this incredible work.
I have worked closely with Birth Companions since it was first set up in 1996 to support women giving birth from Holloway prison; and I joined the Birth Companions staff team in 2005.
It has been very rewarding to see the organisation develop and grown over this time, and to be able to extend our support to more women, and to women in different settings.
