Diana is one of the founders of Birth Companions, and was previously Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2001 to 2022. In 2019, she was awarded an MBE in recognition of her work with Birth Companions.
She has held both front-line and senior management positions in the criminal justice sector as well as spending many years doing freelance work specialising in monitoring and evaluation. During this time, she also trained as an antenatal teacher and ran antenatal classes for pregnant women and their partners as well as completing both a Master’s degree and a PhD.
She is now a Principal Researcher at the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse.
