My role is to coordinate and deliver Birth Companions' support in HMP Eastwood Park for women in the first 1001 days from conception to their child's second birthday.
I offer one to one support to pregnant women in the prison, and run a support group for women who are separated from their babies in the community. I also supervise our volunteers and peer supporters within the prison, who provide support to women.
I am a qualified lactation support provider, experienced in supporting families with infant feeding in a way that is trauma informed and supportive of all feeding choices and outcomes.
