My role is to oversee all activities relating to lived experience across Birth Companions.
I manage the internal and external work of our Lived Experience Programme, supporting members to take part in co-design and co-production opportunities. Our engagement work offers women a platform to influence systems and services in maternity, the criminal justice system, children’s social care and immigration, and ensures the voices of women experiencing inequality and disadvantage are centred in policy, research and service development.
I also work to support other organisations in the women’s sector to develop best practice in their engagement work including facilitating trauma informed engagement training.
