Specialist, relationship-led support

Heading 1

Our coordinators Fola, Helen, Lauren and Sophie support women living in London who are facing inequality and disadvantage.

We work with each woman to find out how we can best support her through her pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood.

When we are working with a woman, our coordinators and volunteers can offer a wide range of practical and emotional support, information, resources and advocacy.

We support all women without judgement, in a trauma-informed and woman-centred way.

What does our support look like?

During pregnancy

We offer one to one emotional and practical support, in person or remotely, throughout pregnancy. We provide tailored information to help women prepare for birth, infant feeding and early parenting

During labour and birth

Our trained volunteer birth companions offer companionship and support, throughout labour and birth. Women can call our 24/7 Birth Line when they are in labour, and we can support them to travel safely to the hospital

After birth

We offer practical and emotional support and information, tailored to each mother and baby. Women can attend our weekly mother and baby groups in Islington, or receive remote one to one support

Who can we support?

Heading 1

Pregnant women and mothers of babies under eight months old who are facing inequality and disadvantage, and are currently living in London.

Please note: Due to volunteer availability, the majority of our birth support currently takes place at the Homerton, Whittington and UCL hospitals, though we will always consider possibilties for supporting women at other London hospitals.

Please note: Our mother and baby groups take place in Islington, so may be unsuitable for mothers living outside of North London.
